Essex, Ct (PRWEB) January 23, 2012

According to a recent Gallup poll 6 in 10 Americans own some type of pet. February is Responsible Pet Owners Month. Animal shelters, rescue organizations, veterinarian hospitals, pet shops and other pet related organizations should use the month of February to bring awareness to the responsibilities associated with owning a pet. Promotional products from 4AllPromos are the perfect way to promote animal related organizations and create a dialogue about responsible pet ownership.

Visit the 4AllPromos Pet shop to shop for pet bowls, food scoopers, leashes, collars, toys and other friendly pet giveaways all year round. Give pet owners a friendly reminder local animal related businesses and organizations with promotional magnets, key chains, pens, sports bottles or other simple custom imprinted products.

Its pretty easy to be a responsible pet owner. First off, before you buy a pet, especially a dog or animal that needs special car do research. Search the web, talk to friends and experts about what kind of animals suits you or your family. Pets have their own unique personalities so its important to find a good match. Before heading to a pet store or breeder check out the local pound or a rescue organization to check out animals that need a safe home. There are thousands of animals across the United States that need homes so do your part and rescue an animal in need.

Its important to be educated about the proper ways to care for a pet. Some pets, especially dogs, should go to some kind of training so that a proper relationship with its owner can be established. Its much easier to handle a pet if you know what the pet needs and/or wants.

Just like humans animals need to eat a healthy and well balanced diet. Consult a vet about what type of food your animal should be eating. Puppies need different food from grown dogs and special breeds sometimes need specific food. Some processed dog foods can upset a dogs stomach and just like humans its often best to go organic. Try not to let animals eat table food. Animals can have allergies and table food can contribute to weight gain. Make sure all pets have clean drinking water or clean swimming water. Keep pets living space safe and tidy.

Pets can help their owners stay fit. Many pets need exercise. Dogs should get the opportunity to run around and play for about an hour a day. Give pets enough room to move around and play with toys, scratching posts, wheels or whatever else they may need to stay healthy.

Promotional products can help spread awareness in the community about the importance of caring properly for domesticated animals. It is a crime to neglect or harm an animal. Many animals have suffered neglect during these tough economic times as families struggle to keep their homes and feed themselves. 4AllPromos wants to help bring awareness to responsible pet ownership by encouraging animal organizations, businesses and non-profits to market this nationally recognized campaign with promotional products.

This is just one example of a gluten free Quinoa Salads. What you can do is make it up with your own choice of gluten free salad vegetables. You can also use seeds and legumes such as sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, chick peas, haricot beans and freshly shucked garden peas. I also use walnuts and almonds but for people on a gluten free diet these can sometimes be a trigger for other allergies. You will know what you can eat and sort out your salad ingredients accordingly.

The nurse I was speaking to told me that we can expect to see lots of publicity and news following this new find. The problem is how do you make them palatable as they are not the tastiest things in the world. Linseed Oil is quite unpleasant to my palette. The seeds are much more tolerable although I would never call them delicious. One thing you can do is add a spoonful to your porridge at breakfast.

Firstly rinse the under a tap to ensure the saponin coating is completely removed.

Some times this will not be needed as it comes pre rinsed. If it foams under a tap then you need to rinse the foam off. If you do not then the salad will taste slightly bitter. Then boil it in the water for 10 minutes or until all the water is absorbed.

You can serve your salad with meat slices or simply eat it on its own. As it is a complete protein it makes a completely nutritious meal on its own. I nearly always place the quinoa salads on a bed of salad leaves or raw spinach. You can also top it with a sprinkling of raw quinoa sprouts making it doubly nutritious.

Now mix in all the ingredients with the cooled quinoa and add your preferred dressing. If you are serving your Quinoa Salads immediately then the dressing is optional. You will find that it keeps better in the fridge if you use a salad dressing of some kind. So you can make double and use it over 2 days.

I also devised this easy linseed and quinoa recipe this week. The linseeds used were straight from the packet and were prewashed. Because this recipe does not involve cooking the linseeds you get the most benefit from just eating them raw.

Broccoli Salad recipes are delicious and can be nutritious. A real “super food” broccoli is chock full of nutrition, antioxidants and flavor. This recipe is also an easy way to get more vegetables in your diet. I’ve got to admit, the dressing isn’t too healthy – but it is delicious. Try no-fat mayo, light cheese and leave out the bacon for a more healthy option. You can make this salad with raw broccoli or blanch it a bit to hold the color and soften the florets. If you don’t like raw broccoli blanch the broccoli for 1 minute or so. But be careful to not leave the broccoli in the water too long. This recipe pairs broccoli, bacon and a dressing to make a sweet and sour salad that’s a great side dish or meal all on its own.

Whether you are looking for a salad to take along to the carry in dinner at church, or the potluck next door, or you are just wanting to make a healthy treat for your family, this is a delicious recipe to try. It is simple to make and is sure to be a hit no matter who you serve it to. It is nice to be able to make a lettuce salad the night before and not have it be all wilted by morning. This recipe has been a family favorite for years.

First off, here is a list of the ingredients you will need for your overnight salad.

1 head of crisp lettuce

½ cup of finely chopped celery

½ cup of chopped, sweet, green or red bell peppers

1 small package of frozen peas ( you can also use fresh if you have them available)

¼ cup of finely chopped, sweet onion

1 pint of real mayonnaise

¼ cup of white sugar

8 ounces of grated cheddar cheese

8 strips of bacon ( you can substitute ham for a healthier version of this salad)

You should begin by chopping and measuring out your onion, celery, and bell peppers.

Set them aside with the rest of your ingredients. Now fry your bacon over high heat. You will want to get it nice and crispy.

Next, shred your lettuce by hand and layer it on the bottom of a nine by thirteen inch cake pan. Follow this with a layer of each of the celery, bell peppers, peas, onions, mayonnaise. Use all of your ingredients, do not set any aside.

Then sprinkle your cheese over the top of the salad, followed by your sugar and then finally crumble your bacon strips over the very top. Cover, your salad and refrigerate overnight Serve it chilled.

You can customize this salad to your taste. You can add any vegetables you like, such as carrots or tomatoes. You can also make it healthier by using ham instead of the fried bacon and by using light or fat free salad dressing instead of the real mayonnaise. If you are making it just for yourself you should cut the recipe at least in half because this is enough for quite a few people.

Enjoy your healthy salad and also all the compliments you are sure to receive when taking it anywhere or serving it to your guests!!

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 15, 2012

Diet Doc is offering weight loss diet plans that support womens health to celebrate National Womens Health Week. Their diet puts a focus on womens health by offering meal plans with low-carbohydrate, low- glycemic index options with doctor-recommended supplements that are beneficial for women. These vitamins and minerals can include: omega-3 fish oil, vitamin B12 and acidophiles which are known to be essential for a womans overall health and well being.

Another added benefit for women is Diet Docs use of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin, or hCG, in combination with a supervised ketogenic diet plan. The elements of their program combined with proper exercise are designed to support healthy hormone levels in the body. In fact, new theories have suggested that hCG encourages the bodys master hormone glad, the hypothalamus, to reset the endocrine system, the bodys entire hormone system.

Diet Docs weight loss programs are unique with each patient carefully assessed by a team of doctors, nutritionists and nurses. They formulate a diet plan that is best suited to each patient and monitor their progress through the duration of the program. Diet

Docs team also encourages their patients to communicate with them anytime they have any questions or concerns with their diet, creating a true support system.

With the week meant to empower women to make their health a top priority by taking the steps to improve their physical and mental health and lower risk for diseases, according to the Womens Health Week Website, Diet Docs programs are a fitting solution to meet any womens weight loss needs.
